Buying from abroad?
Living in the US, Canada or the UK and buying at home? The short answers:
Can I buy property in Jamaica if I live overseas?
Yes. Jamaica does not generally restrict foreign buyers, and many people buy from abroad. You will need a Jamaican attorney to act for you on the agreement and the transfer of title. Start with a video call and video viewings; much of the paperwork can be handled remotely through your attorney. Plan a visit before you commit if you can.
How do viewings work?
Send Tiffany the property name (and its MLS number if it has one) with the days that suit you. She confirms the time and meets you there. If you are abroad, ask for a live video walk-through instead.
Are prices in US or Jamaican dollars?
Each price is shown in the currency it was advertised in: many homes on this site are priced in US$, some land and rentals in J$. Ask Tiffany for the equivalent in the other currency.
